Step 1: Cancel your subscription
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Coffee Meets Bagel → Cancel.
- Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Coffee Meets Bagel → Cancel.
- Website: Coffee Meets Bagel account settings → subscription / billing.
Step 2: Delete your Coffee Meets Bagel account
- Cancel any subscription first in the App Store or Google Play.
- Open Coffee Meets Bagel and tap your profile icon (on Android, then the three dots at the top right).
- Tap Settings, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Tap Delete my account, choose a reason and tap Done.
Menu names can change after app updates. If you can’t find an option, check Coffee Meets Bagel’s help center.
Cancel before you delete your Coffee Meets Bagel account
Cancel any paid plan before you delete your Coffee Meets Bagel account. Deleting the account or the app doesn’t stop a subscription, and CMB can’t cancel it for you. Apple and Google handle all CMB subscriptions, so to unsubscribe from Coffee Meets Bagel:
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Coffee Meets Bagel → Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Coffee Meets Bagel → Cancel.
You keep Premium until the paid period ends. Cancelling doesn’t refund the current period, and CMB says all purchases are final unless the law where you live requires a refund (refund policy).
Pause instead of deleting
If you’re taking a break or have just started seeing someone, pause instead. On iPhone, go to your profile icon → Settings → Pause account. On Android, open Settings from the three-dot menu and switch off Active. Pausing keeps your account, so you can come back later without starting again.
CMB recommends this over deleting and coming back later. Deleting and recreating accounts can get you banned, because it looks like bot behavior, and a subscription can be moved from a deleted account only once, through support.
What deleting removes
Deletion is permanent. Your beans, photos, personal details and chat history go, and past matches can no longer see you or message you. CMB also stops keeping your verification selfie data. After you delete, give the server a few minutes and don’t keep reopening the app to check: doing that can create a new account by mistake. You can ask CMB for a copy of your data before you go.
