Short answer
ℹ️ BLK has no free trial of Premium, Elite or Platinum. The free app covers swiping, matching and chat, and every member gets one free Gem a week.
What you can do for free
- Swiping, matching and messaging matches
- Dating intent on every profile
- Communities group chats and local Events (select markets)
- 1 free Gem a week to message before a match
Why the free app is the real trial
BLK has no free trial of Premium, Elite or Platinum, and its help center doesn’t mention promo codes. You don’t need either to judge the app. Swiping, matching and chat are free, so a week of normal use shows how many people are active near you and whether your matches reply. If you keep hitting the like cap, that’s the point where paying starts to make sense.
Can you get BLK Elite membership free?
Partly, if you’re in the right group. Elite’s main perk is seeing everyone who liked you, and in late 2025 BLK said it was testing free access to your likes with some members before a wider rollout. Open your Likes tab to see whether you already have it. Every member also gets one free Gem a week, which lets you message a Spotlight profile before you match.
Skip free Elite hacks and codes
Pages promising free BLK Elite, modified apps or promo codes aren’t connected to BLK. Modified apps can carry malware and put your account at risk, and no genuine offer asks for your login or card details on a third-party site. BLK shows its real prices on the subscription screen inside the app.
If you pay, start with one week
BLK sells every tier for 1 week, 1 month, 3 months or 6 months. In the US App Store, a week of Elite cost $17.99 to $19.99 when we checked on October 3, 2026, which is the cheapest way to find out whether seeing your likes changes much. Subscriptions renew automatically, so cancel before the renewal date if you don’t want to continue. You keep the paid features until the period ends.
