Step 1: Cancel your subscription
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → BLK → Cancel.
- Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → BLK → Cancel.
- Website: BLK account settings → subscription / billing.
Step 2: Delete your BLK account
- Tap your profile icon.
- Tap the gear icon to open your settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete to remove your account.
Menu names can change after app updates. If you can’t find an option, check BLK’s help center.
Hide your profile instead
If you only need a break, hide your profile rather than deleting it. Tap your profile icon, then the gear icon, scroll to Show me on BLK and turn the toggle off, then tap Done. You won’t appear in other members’ stacks, and you can switch it back on whenever you like.
How to cancel your BLK subscription
Deleting your account doesn’t stop a subscription, so turn off auto-renewal first, where you paid:
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → BLK → Cancel Subscription;
- in the BLK app: profile icon → gear icon → Manage Subscription, then follow the steps;
- Android: Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → BLK → Cancel subscription.
You keep your paid features until the end of the period, and then the account goes back to free. If you were charged after cancelling, contact Apple or Google, which handle refunds for purchases made through them.
What deleting removes
Deleting is permanent. BLK removes all your connections, and your conversations can’t be restored, so swap contact details first with anyone you want to keep talking to. Removing the app from your phone doesn’t close the account; only the delete button in settings does.
What happens to your data
If you completed Face Check, BLK deletes the face data it keeps for verification within 30 days of the account closing. It keeps two audit images, your age estimate and the verification result for 90 days, or a year if the account was banned.
Want a copy of your data? Ask before you delete. Use BLK’s Contact Us form, choose I have a Safety or Privacy Concern, then I want to access my personal data. BLK says it replies within 48 hours, and once the account is gone you can no longer request it.
Keep your profile on BLK only
If you’re staying but don’t want your profile shown on other Match Group apps, turn off Expanded Discovery & Interaction under Settings → Your Privacy Choices → Match Group Data Sharing. Your profile will then appear only on BLK.

Does deleting BLK cancel my subscription?
Deleting your BLK account doesn’t cancel a subscription. Turn off auto-renewal in the App Store, Google Play or BLK’s Manage Subscription screen before the renewal date; you keep paid features until the period ends.
Does uninstalling BLK delete my account?
