Is there an eHarmony free trial?
There’s no standard eHarmony free trial of Premium. eharmony says it “periodically” offers free trials to new members, so if you see one in your account it’s genuine. Claims of a fixed 3-day, 7-day or 30-day free trial or a free weekend aren’t something eharmony offers as standard.
What you always get is Basic membership, which is free with no time limit.
What Basic membership covers
As a Basic member you take the Compatibility Quiz, see unlimited matches in Discover, and send and receive Likes. You can browse anonymously and send a first message to a match. That’s enough to judge how many compatible people live near you, which is the main thing to know before paying.
The limits come quickly, though. Photos stay blurred, so you can’t see who you’re matched with, and a full conversation needs Premium. eharmony says this is deliberate: it wants members to be equally committed before they see photos and message. There’s no legitimate way to unblur eHarmony photos for free.
eHarmony discounts and promo codes
eharmony says that, as a rule, it doesn’t do coupons. Instead, Basic members are offered discounts on the subscription page, with the reduced price already shown. Offers often appear around Valentine’s Day and other holidays. That’s where the 50% or 60% off deals you see advertised come from. They’re real, but they’re applied in your account, not with a code.
Coupon sites and Groupon-style offers aren’t a reliable route, and eharmony no longer sells gift subscriptions. If you do take a discount, check what each plan costs and when it renews, because discounted plans still renew automatically.
