eHarmony cost and plan lengths
eharmony doesn’t publish a price list. You see the eHarmony cost only after you sign up, by clicking “Upgrade to Premium”, and discounts for new members are often already applied there. Its own pages also disagree on plan lengths. The FAQ and the terms of service list Premium light, Premium plus and Premium unlimited in 6-, 12- and 24-month terms, while its cost page mentions 3-, 6- and 12-month plans. What every version agrees on is that you can’t pay for just one month.
The US App Store shows in-app purchases from $59.99 to $349.99 (checked October 16, 2026). Those are prices for whole terms, not per month, and the App Store doesn’t say how long each one runs. Expect a lower monthly price on longer terms.
On the website you can pay by Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, a Visa or Mastercard debit card, or PayPal. eharmony’s terms also mention installment plans such as three-part payments. Cancelling doesn’t cancel the installments still due.
What Premium adds
Premium opens up the parts of eharmony that make it work: unlimited messaging, all your matches’ photos, a list of who viewed you, distance search, your full Personality Profile and filters by interests. Higher tiers add more. The terms say Premium unlimited has the most features, followed by plus and light, and faith filtering comes with some tiers only.
Why is eHarmony so expensive?
Partly because you can’t buy a short plan. You pay for at least several months, often in one go, and plans renew automatically. The terms say renewals run for consecutive 12-month terms unless you agreed to another length at checkout. That’s why the bill feels large, and why so many people search for “eharmony keeps charging me”.
Is it worth it? For people who want a committed relationship and will use the site for months, yes. Use the free Basic plan first and look at how many matches score above 100 in your area. If there are only a handful, a long plan won’t change that.
Avoiding the renewal charge
Turn off auto-renewal right after you buy if you only want one term. You must do it at least 24 hours before the term ends, under Data & Settings → Manage profile → Amend Subscription, or in the App Store or Google Play. eharmony doesn’t refund unused time, apart from the cancellation rights some states give you. How do I cancel my eHarmony subscription?
