Short answer
✅ Match often emails free members free trial offers. You pick a paid package and give payment details, so cancel before the trial ends. Without a trial, free members can already chat with their matches.
What you can do for free
- Create a profile
- Chat with every match
- Rate up to 50 profiles a day
- Up to 3 Highlights a day
Is there a Match free trial?
There’s no free trial you can sign up for on the site, but Match does offer them. It says it often emails free members free trial offers and other discounts (Match). To get them, keep “Match Offers” switched on under Email Preferences in your account settings.
How a Match free trial works
The email explains how to redeem the offer. You choose a paid package and give your payment details, so your plan starts automatically when the trial ends. To avoid paying, cancel in Manage Subscription before the trial ends: re-enter your password and complete every step. Cancelling ends your trial access straight away, so do it near the end, and note the date when you start.
What you can do for free anyway
You don’t need a trial to find out if Match works for you. A free account lets you:
- chat with every match, once you’ve both liked each other;
- rate up to 50 profiles a day in your Recommended stack;
- see up to three Highlights a day and explore curated profiles;
- send one intro a day if you live in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Texas or Oklahoma.
That’s far more than Match used to allow, and enough to judge how many active people live near you.
Match discounts
We found no public Match promo codes. Discounts arrive by email or on the subscription page, and they apply only to the first period, after which a plan renews at the regular price. A longer plan costs less per month, but you pay for it all at the start. See what each tier costs before you buy, and ignore sites that ask for your Match login to “unlock” a free subscription.
