Does Plenty of Fish have a free trial?
Not in the usual sense — but it rarely needs one, because the free version is unusually complete. Without paying you can:
- create a profile with up to eight photos;
- search and filter members by age, location and more;
- use Meet Me to find mutual interest quickly;
- send and receive messages.
Upgrades remove ads and add visibility — useful, not essential.
A two-week test that costs nothing
- Write a specific profile. Say what you want and one or two things you do most weekends; it filters out mismatched messages.
- Search, do not only play Meet Me. POF's strength is filtering the pool yourself.
- Message first, several times a week. Free messaging is the whole advantage — use it.
- Judge replies, not views. If real conversations happen, you may never need to pay; if not, a subscription will not fix the local pool.
Watch out for "free premium" offers
