POF Plus, Premium and Prestige
Plenty of Fish keeps its core free: searching, browsing and messaging do not need a subscription. The paid tiers are about comfort and visibility, and there are three of them.
- POF Plus — the entry tier. Removes ads and adds extra visibility features.
- POF Premium — everything in Plus, with Super Likes, more room for photos and a better position in search results.
- POF Prestige — the top tier, adding unlimited priority likes and unlimited first likes so your profile is pushed forward more often.
Memberships are sold in terms such as three, six and twelve months, and the per-month price falls noticeably on longer terms.
Is upgrading worth it?
- Most people should start free. Messaging is already included, which is not true on most rivals.
- Plus is the sensible first step if ads bother you or you want to know your profile is being seen.
- Prestige only makes sense in busy cities, where visibility is the bottleneck rather than the number of people.
Renewal and refunds
POF memberships renew automatically. You can cancel at any time to prevent future charges and keep your upgrade until the end of the current cycle. Plenty of Fish states that subscriptions are final and non-refundable, so turn renewal off at least 24 hours before it is due. If you paid through Google Play or the App Store, change it there — only the store can edit that subscription.
