Short answer
ℹ️ We found no standing free trial, though Stir’s help center explains how to cancel one if you’re offered it. You can match and chat for free.
What you can do for free
- Profile and recommendations
- Matching and chat
- StirTime scheduling
- Filter to hide non-parents
Is there a Stir free trial?
Stir’s help center has a page on cancelling a free trial, so they do exist, but it doesn’t explain how to get one, and we found no standing offer. If you’re offered a trial, you’ll need to cancel before it ends to avoid a charge.
To cancel a trial, go to Manage Subscription in your Account Settings, re-enter your password and follow every step. Stir warns that the process has several steps, so make sure you finish it before leaving the page (Stir).
What the free plan includes
You don’t need a trial to find out whether Stir suits you:
- Create a profile and answer the personality and values questions.
- Fill in StirTime, so people can see when you’re free.
- Get recommendations, and like or pass on them.
- Match and chat for free.
You won’t see who likes you, and you can’t message before matching. Those need Basic or Premium.
Getting more from the free plan
- Add clear photos of yourself, without your kids.
- Fill in StirTime honestly. It’s the feature people came for.
- Turn on the non-parent filter only if you’re sure, because it makes your pool smaller and hides you from non-parents too.
- Check back a few times a week, since matches come as people like you back.
Stir discounts
We found no public Stir promo codes. A longer plan brings the monthly rate down, and you can spread the cost over four payments. See what Stir costs before you buy. Ignore sites offering free Premium or asking for your login, since Stir says it never asks for that.
