Stir cost in the App Store
Stir shows prices on its subscription page, and it doesn’t publish a list. You can find them under Subscribe in the navigation bar, or Upgrade on your profile in the app. The US App Store lists these top purchases (checked November 1, 2026):

The cheapest monthly rate comes from six months, which works out at about $12 a month. You pay for it up front, though, so try it only if your area is busy.
What Basic and Premium add
Stir sells two subscriptions (Stir):
- Basic: see who likes you before you match, message before you match, Private Mode, one free Boost a month and one free Super Like a month.
- Premium: see who likes you, unlimited messages, read receipts, Private Mode in the app, Rewind, one free Boost a month and a weekly Super Like.
A Boost makes you one of the top profiles in your area for 60 minutes. Private Mode shows your profile only to people you’ve contacted, which is useful if you’d rather not be seen by neighbors or other school parents.
Is Stir worth paying for?
Matching and chatting are free, so don’t pay right away. A subscription makes sense when you’re getting likes you can’t see, or when you want to write first because few people near you are starting conversations. If you don’t have much time to use it, one month is plenty to start with.
Billing and refunds
You can pay in full or in four separate payments. The monthly rate on the page is only for comparison, so check the total under Review Your Subscription. Plans renew automatically, and subscriptions are non-refundable under Stir’s terms: you can keep using a plan until the term ends, but you won’t get a prorated refund. Is Stir free?

How do I cancel my Stir subscription?
If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, cancel in your phone’s subscription settings. If you paid on the website, cancel in your Stir account settings. Deleting your account doesn’t cancel an app-store subscription, so turn off renewal first. Subscriptions are non-refundable under Stir’s terms.
