Short answer
ℹ️ Tinder has no standard free trial, but the free version lets you swipe, match and chat for as long as you like. Paid plans add unlimited Likes and a list of who Likes you.
What you can do for free
- Swiping, with a daily Like limit
- Matching and unlimited messaging with matches
- Photo Verification
- Explore, and Double Date in some markets
Is there a Tinder free trial?
Tinder has no standard free trial, and its help center doesn’t describe one. You don’t need one to judge it, though. The free version lets you create a profile, swipe, match and chat for as long as you like, and that shows whether enough people use Tinder near you.
What’s free and what isn’t
You get matching and messaging, Photo Verification, Explore, and Double Date where it’s available. Your daily Likes are limited, and the Likes You grid stays blurred. Unlimited Likes, Rewind, Passport and seeing who Likes you all need a paid plan.
Tinder promo codes
Real Tinder promo codes do exist. Tinder says it offers special deals “every now and then”, and you redeem them on tinder.com, not in the app. Sign in, tap the profile icon, scroll down to Promo Code and enter it. New users can find Promo Code in the tinder.com footer (Tinder). You may have to enter a card, so check when the offer ends.
Discounts also appear inside the app, and a longer plan usually costs less per month. A one-month Gold gift card is the only way to give someone Tinder Gold, and it’s sold in the US only.
Free Tinder Gold and Platinum offers
Be careful here. Sites promising free Tinder Gold, Tinder Platinum or Tinder Premium through a generator, a modified app or a “50% off” code that asks for your login aren’t from Tinder. At best they waste your time. At worst they take your account or your card details. Gold and Platinum subscribers get weekly Super Likes and usually a monthly Boost, but there’s no free way to get Gold itself.
Before you pay
- Use the free version for a week or two in your area.
- See what each plan costs in your own app, since prices differ.
- Start with the shortest plan that makes sense, because all plans renew automatically.
