No free trial, but a free plan that lasts
CatholicMatch doesn’t offer a free trial or a free month of Premium. Neither its help center nor its terms mention one. What it has instead is a Basic plan that costs nothing for as long as you keep your account.
How far Catholic Match free gets you
The free plan works well as a test, because it shows whether the right people are nearby before you spend anything. You can build your full profile, take the Temperament Quiz and browse. You can also chat with anyone you match with mutually. The main limit is time: you can read messages from other members only after 10 days (CatholicMatch, 2026). The messages you collect in that time tell you how much interest there is around you.
A good way to use those first weeks:
- Answer every faith question honestly. Members decide whether to write to you based on them.
- Add recent photos, including one of something you enjoy doing.
- Like generously. A mutual like opens a free conversation.
- Count the messages after two weeks. If thoughtful people are writing, Premium is worth considering. If no one is, it isn’t yet.
Coupons, discounts and sales
CatholicMatch doesn’t publish coupon codes. The discounts its help center mentions are discounted renewal rates for members who keep their account, and discounts for Premium members on CatholicMatch products such as the Online Dating Course. A catholicmatch coupon or “free month” offered on another website doesn’t come from CatholicMatch, and a page that asks for your login to claim one is phishing. If CatholicMatch runs a sale, you’ll see it on its own subscribe page while you’re signed in.
Watch the renewal
Premium renews automatically. If you buy a single month to try it, note the end date or cancel right away at catholicmatch.com/account/services. You keep Premium until the term ends either way. Refunds are only granted case by case within three days of purchase (CatholicMatch terms, 2026), and App Store purchases are refunded through Apple.
