Step 1: Cancel your subscription
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → CatholicMatch → Cancel.
- Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → CatholicMatch → Cancel.
- Website: CatholicMatch account settings → subscription / billing.
Step 2: Delete your CatholicMatch account
- Cancel your subscription first so it does not renew.
- Sign in on the website.
- Open the remove account page in your account settings.
- Confirm. For full data deletion you can also email CatholicMatch with the subject “DATA DELETION REQUEST”.

Leaving CatholicMatch
Start by ending the subscription, then remove the account.
Step 1: cancel the subscription
Subscriptions renew automatically. Cancel renewal in your account settings (or through Apple or Google if you bought there). You keep access until the end of the current term. Remember that refunds are generally not available once features have been used, so cancelling early does not mean money back.
Step 2: remove your account
- Sign in on the CatholicMatch website.
- Go to your account settings and open the remove account page.
- Follow the prompts to confirm.
If you also want CatholicMatch to delete your personal data, you can email its staff with the subject line "DATA DELETION REQUEST", as described in its privacy policy.
Leaving because you met someone?
CatholicMatch shares stories of couples who deleted their profiles together — a nice way to mark the moment. If it is early days, though, you might simply stop logging in and let the subscription lapse, keeping the option to return.
Before you go
Save contact details for anyone you want to keep in touch with, and note any CM+ courses you were following. Once the account is removed, your messages and saved profiles go with it, and you would need to rebuild your faith answers from scratch.
