Step 1: Cancel your subscription
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → happn → Cancel.
- Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → happn → Cancel.
- Website: happn account settings → subscription / billing.
Step 2: Delete your happn account
- Cancel any subscription in the App Store or Google Play first.
- Tap your profile picture and open Settings.
- Go to My Data and choose Delete my account.
- Select up to three reasons and tap Confirm deletion. This is permanent.

Cancel your subscription first
Deleting your happn account or the app doesn’t cancel a subscription, so do this first (happn):
- iPhone: Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions → happn → Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → happn → Cancel.
You keep your Premium benefits until the end of the billing period.
Why removing the app isn’t enough
If you only delete the app, your position stops updating, but you’re still visible to other users. When you log back in, your Crushes and messages are still there (happn). To leave properly, use the steps on this page.
Pause your account instead
If you only want a break, you can pause your account. Tap your photo at the top right, go to Settings, scroll down to “Pause my account” and confirm. Your profile becomes invisible and shows as “Unavailable Crush” to others, and you won’t appear in anyone’s feed. Your messages and Crushes are saved, though you can’t reach them until you reactivate (happn).
Is deleting permanent?
Yes. happn treats it as leaving for good, and asks you to pick up to three reasons before you confirm. Those reasons are only feedback and won’t stop the deletion. So save contact details for anyone you’d like to keep in touch with first.
Stop location sharing
If you’re keeping the account for now, you can turn off location for the app in your phone’s settings. happn says sharing your location all the time isn’t mandatory, though you’ll cross fewer paths. It also says your exact position isn’t shown to other users either way.

Use the help center at support.happn.fr, where you can send a request. If you think your account has been hacked, or that someone is using your photos, it has specific articles on what to do.
