Step 1: Cancel your subscription
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → happn → Cancel.
- Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → happn → Cancel.
- Website: happn account settings → subscription / billing.
Step 2: Delete your happn account
- Cancel any subscription in the App Store or Google Play first.
- Tap your profile picture and open Settings.
- Go to My Data and choose Delete my account.
- Select up to three reasons and tap Confirm deletion. This is permanent.
Menu names can change after app updates. If you can’t find an option, check happn’s help centre.
Deleting happn
Deleting your happn account is permanent: your profile, Crushes and conversations are removed and cannot be restored.
First: cancel any subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel happn Premium. Cancel the subscription in the store where you bought it — App Store or Google Play — before deleting. Otherwise it keeps renewing.
Steps
- From the home screen, tap your profile picture to open your personal space.
- Scroll down and open Settings.
- Go to My Data and choose Delete my account.
- Select up to three reasons (optional message), then tap Confirm deletion.
Just want to be less visible?
If the issue is privacy rather than the app itself, look at the privacy settings first. Premium's invisible mode lets you browse without appearing to others, and you can control what appears on your profile. Location sharing can also be adjusted in your phone settings — though happn needs it to work at all.
Before you go
Take contact details from any Crushes you want to keep talking to. Once the account is deleted, you cannot reconnect through happn.
Deletion is immediate and final, so there is no grace period in which to change your mind.
