Free versus happn Premium
You can like, Crush and chat on happn without paying. happn Premium is the subscription, and it focuses on seeing more and being seen:
- seeing who has liked you, so you can Crush straight back;
- more FlashNotes, short messages you can send before a Crush;
- invisible mode, to browse without appearing to others.
happn also sells SuperCrush packs separately — a way to tell someone you are especially interested.
Premium is sold in several lengths; longer terms cost less per month. Prices vary by country, so check the app.
Should you pay?
- Only if you live somewhere busy. Premium cannot create crossings that do not happen.
- The likes list is the main reason to upgrade — in a dense city, it saves real time.
- Skip SuperCrushes until you have had a few ordinary Crushes; they are an extra, not a fix.
Cancelling
Subscriptions renew automatically and are managed in the App Store or Google Play. Cancel there before renewal; deleting the app or your account does not stop the charge.
It is also worth knowing that happn's prices differ between countries and between iPhone and Android, so the figure you see may not match a friend's. Check the renewal price as well as the first-term price before buying, because introductory discounts rarely last beyond the first period.
