Step 1: Cancel your subscription
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Muddy Matches → Cancel.
- Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Muddy Matches → Cancel.
- Website: Muddy Matches account settings → subscription / billing.
Step 2: Delete your Muddy Matches account
- Turn off renewal first: in your Apple or Google account for app plans, or in your profile on the website.
- Sign in on the website and open My Account.
- Choose Delete my account.
- Confirm. If you can’t find the option, email [email protected].
Menu names can change after app updates. If you can’t find an option, check Muddy Matches’s help center.
Stop renewal first
Subscriptions renew automatically, so turn that off before you do anything else.
- Bought in the iPhone app: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Muddy Matches → Cancel Subscription.
- Bought in the Android app: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Muddy Matches → Cancel.
- Bought on the website: Muddy Matches says you can turn off auto-renew in your profile. We recorded the path as My Account → Manage My Subscription, and a limit of 48 hours before renewal.
We couldn’t re-check the website’s help pages for this update, so if the menu looks different, ask customer care. Leave plenty of time. App plans renew every seven days, and recent Trustpilot reviewers have complained about renewals they didn’t expect (Trustpilot).
After you’ve turned it off, check that a confirmation or the changed renewal status appears, and take a screenshot.
How to delete your account
- Sign in on the website and open My Account.
- Choose Delete my account.
- Confirm.
Deleting the app from your phone doesn’t delete your account. We understand a deleted account can’t be reactivated, so you’d have to start again with a new profile.
Rather take a break?
Country life has its seasons, from lambing to harvest. If you’re simply too busy for a few months, turning off renewal and leaving your profile in place may suit you better than deleting. You can subscribe again later if you want to.
Before you go
Swap numbers with anyone you’re still talking to, because you can’t read messages once your subscription ends, and they’ll go with your account if you delete it.
