Muddy Matches cost in the app
The UK App Store lists one purchase (checked November 1, 2026):

The listing says all app subscriptions are sold on a seven-day auto-renew basis, charged to your Apple account. If you leave it running, that’s more than £40 a month, so set a reminder.
Website plans
Muddy Matches’ website wasn’t accessible to us for this update, so we couldn’t re-check its plans. In September 2026 we recorded 1-, 3-, 6- and 12-month terms, at about £7.50 to £24 a month, with longer terms far cheaper per month. Check the current figures when you’re signed in, and compare them with the app’s £9.99 a week before you buy.
A Trustpilot reviewer in 2024 also said a discounted first month was followed by the full price, without that being clear. Read the price and the renewal terms on the payment screen.
What a subscription adds
The main thing is real-time messaging: without it, you can’t send or read messages. A 2022 company post also describes a premium upgrade that lets free members read and reply to the messages you send them (Muddy Matches). That would solve a real problem on this site, so see whether it’s still offered.
Is it worth paying?
Only once you’ve found people. Search and match for free first, because the question that matters is how many members live within a drive you’d really make. If there’s someone you want to write to, a short plan is a fair test. If you’re in a remote area with few members, try a big free app first.
Renewal and refunds
App subscriptions are managed in your Apple or Google account. On the website, Muddy Matches says you can turn off auto-renew in your profile. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel anything. Our guide to deleting Muddy Matches has the steps.
