Is there a Stitch free trial?
We found no free trial of Full membership. There’s something better for most people: a Limited membership that’s “free forever”, so you can take your time (Stitch). You can also attend up to three activities before you’ve verified your account.
What Limited members can do
According to Stitch’s help center:
- Attend in-person activities when the host has opened them to Limited members.
- Attend virtual activities and join discussions open to Limited members.
- Join public groups.
- Suggest local activities, or create them where there’s no Stitch community yet.
- Reply to direct messages, within 48 hours.
- Message the host of an activity you’re attending, up to 48 hours afterward, and the owner of a public group you’ve joined.
What you can’t do
You can’t join member-only events and groups, or start conversations with most other members. If someone’s at an event with you and you’d like to stay in touch, swap numbers in person if you’re comfortable with that.
Testing Stitch for free
- Fill in your profile and add a photo.
- Get verified with the photo code, which takes about 30 seconds if you have a phone or webcam.
- Look at Activities and Groups, and count what’s near you. Set your distance under Notifications.
- Go to one public activity and see whether you like the people.
- If member-only events are where it’s happening, try Basic or Standard.
Discounts
Stitch says inviting members can share a personal code that gives new people a discounted membership. If you know a member, ask them. See what Stitch costs before you join.
