Step 1: Cancel your subscription
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Stitch → Cancel.
- Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Stitch → Cancel.
- Website: Stitch account settings → subscription / billing.
Step 2: Delete your Stitch account
- Cancel renewal on your Membership page (this downgrades you to Limited but does not delete the account).
- Open the Stitch Help Center and follow the account deletion steps, or contact support.
- Confirm the deletion.
Menu names can change after app updates. If you can’t find an option, check Stitch’s help centre.
Cancelling versus deleting
On Stitch, cancelling your membership and deleting your account are separate.
- Cancelling renewal (Membership page in your account) stops future payments and moves you to a free Limited membership at the end of your paid period. Your account stays.
- Deleting your account removes your profile.
Steps
- Go to your Membership page and cancel renewal if you have a Full membership.
- Visit the Stitch Help Center and follow the account deletion instructions, or contact Stitch support to request deletion.
- Confirm when asked.
If you subscribed through the App Store or Google Play, cancel the subscription there as well.
Consider staying Limited
Because Limited membership is free and still lets you go to public events and groups, many people simply cancel renewal rather than deleting. You keep your friendships and can drop into events whenever you like.
Before you delete
- Save contact details for friends you have made — messages go with the account.
- Let the organisers of any events you signed up for know you will not be attending.
- If someone behaved inappropriately, report them first so Stitch can look into it.
If you are unsure, remember that downgrading to Limited costs nothing and keeps every friendship you have built — you can always delete later.
