Step 1: Cancel your subscription
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Christian Connection → Cancel.
- Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Christian Connection → Cancel.
- Website: Christian Connection account settings → subscription / billing.
Step 2: Delete your Christian Connection account
- Cancel your subscription first (in your account, or via the app’s More → Subscription for App Store purchases).
- Go to Profile & Settings.
- Choose Close your account.
- Confirm. Hiding your profile is different and does not cancel payments.
Menu names can change after app updates. If you can’t find an option, check Christian Connection’s help centre.
Hide or close your account
Christian Connection distinguishes between hiding your profile and closing your account.
- Hiding takes your profile out of view but keeps your account — and it does not cancel any active subscription.
- Closing removes your account.
Step 1: cancel your subscription
Cancel in your account settings. If you subscribed through the App Store, go to More → Subscription in the app and follow the link to cancel it with Apple. Do not cancel via your bank: a chargeback can result in your account being permanently closed.
Step 2: close the account
- Go to Profile & Settings.
- Choose Close your account.
- Confirm.
If you are pausing
If you have met someone but it is early days, hiding your profile is the gentler option — just make sure you have also cancelled renewal if you do not want to keep paying.
Before you go
Swap contact details with anyone you want to stay in touch with, and let any meetup group you joined know if you will not be coming. Once the account is closed, your messages are no longer available.
If you are leaving because of a bad experience with another member, report them before closing your account. The team takes safety seriously, and a report helps protect the rest of the community after you have gone.
