Profile membership versus full membership
Joining Christian Connection is free. With a free Profile membership you can create a profile, browse, wave and like, and reply to messages using preset responses.
A full membership unlocks the real conversation: unlimited messaging, mutual likes, video chat and access to meetups. Memberships are sold for different lengths — typically one, three and six months — and current prices are shown on the site's subscribe page. Longer terms cost less per month.
Is it worth paying?
- Browse first. See how many active members of your age and denomination are within reach.
- Wave and like freely — it is free and shows who is interested.
- Pay for a longer term only if the local pool is strong. Otherwise start with the shortest plan.
Cancelling
You can cancel your subscription in your account settings — there is no need to contact your bank. In fact, Christian Connection warns that a bank chargeback can lead to your account being permanently closed. If you subscribed through the App Store, open the app, go to More → Subscription and follow the link to cancel in the App Store. Hiding your profile does not cancel payments.
It is also sensible to check whether a local meetup group is active before paying for a longer term. Meetups are organised by members, so activity varies by area, and they can make a membership far more valuable.
