Step 1: Cancel your subscription
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Hiki → Cancel.
- Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Hiki → Cancel.
- Website: Hiki account settings → subscription / billing.
Step 2: Delete your Hiki account
- Cancel Hiki Premium in the App Store or Google Play first.
- Tap your avatar at the top left, then Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Follow the prompts. Hiki says your data is deleted automatically.
Menu names can change after app updates. If you can’t find an option, check Hiki’s help center.
Cancel Premium first
Deleting your account doesn’t cancel Hiki Premium, so do this first (Hiki):
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Hiki → Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Hiki → Cancel.
Apple and Google control these subscriptions, so Hiki can’t cancel them for you. Do it at least 24 hours before renewal, and your Premium features last until the end of the period.
What happens when you delete
The steps are short: tap your avatar at the top left, tap Settings, scroll to the bottom, tap Delete Account and follow the prompts. Hiki says your data is deleted automatically when you do this. You’d need a new account to come back.
Removing the app from your phone doesn’t delete your account, so use the steps above if you want to leave for good.
If you only need a break
We found no pause setting in Hiki’s FAQ. Taking a break from a social app is completely fine, though, and you don’t have to delete anything to do it. Turn off the app’s notifications in your phone’s settings, log out and come back when you feel like it. If you’re worried about people expecting a reply, you could add a short note to your profile before you go.
Before you go
- Save contact details for friends you’d like to keep, because your chats go with the account.
- If someone’s behavior is why you’re leaving, report them first, so moderators can act.
- Check your subscription list again, to be sure renewal is off.
