Step 1: Cancel your subscription
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Salams → Cancel.
- Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Salams → Cancel.
- Website: Salams account settings → subscription / billing.
Step 2: Delete your Salams account
- Cancel Premium in the App Store or Google Play first.
- Open Salams and go to Preferences.
- Scroll down to Delete Account.
- Confirm. Matches, conversations and profile data are removed.
Menu names can change after app updates. If you can’t find an option, check Salams’s help centre.
Deleting Salams
Deleting your account removes your matches, conversations and profile data, and it cannot be undone. Deleting the app from your phone does not delete the account — your profile, matches and conversations stay until you delete them in the app.
Step 1: cancel any subscription
Cancel Premium or Gold in the App Store (Settings → your name → Subscriptions) or Google Play (Payments & subscriptions) before deleting. The subscription is billed by the store, not by Salams, so deleting your account does not stop it.
Step 2: delete the account
- Open Salams and go to Preferences.
- Scroll down to Delete Account.
- Confirm.
If you have found someone
Many members delete their accounts once they are engaged or in a serious conversation with a family's blessing. If it is still early, you may prefer to take a break — for example by turning off notifications — so that you can return without rebuilding your profile.
Before you delete
- Save contact details (or a family contact) for anyone you want to keep talking to.
- If you used privacy settings to hide your profile from certain people, remember those settings disappear with the account.
- Report any member who behaved inappropriately before you leave, so the team can act.

Frequently asked questions
Does deleting Salams cancel my subscription?

Does uninstalling Salams delete my account?
