Step 1: Cancel your subscription
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → SCRUFF → Cancel.
- Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → SCRUFF → Cancel.
- Website: SCRUFF account settings → subscription / billing.
Step 2: Delete your SCRUFF account
- Cancel SCRUFF Pro first: at least 24 hours before renewal on iPhone, or 48 hours on Android.
- Tap the Account icon, then your profile name.
- Scroll down and tap Delete profile.
- Follow the prompts. You can choose Disable profile instead, and restore it later.
Menu names can change after app updates. If you can’t find an option, check SCRUFF’s help center.
Cancel SCRUFF Pro first
Deleting your profile or the app doesn’t stop a subscription.
- iPhone: in SCRUFF, tap Account → Manage Subscription and open the App Store, or go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Select SCRUFF Pro and tap Cancel Subscription, at least 24 hours before the term ends.
- Android: in SCRUFF, tap Account → Manage SCRUFF Pro → Manage subscription → Google Play → Subscriptions → SCRUFF → Cancel. SCRUFF says to do it at least 48 hours before the term ends.
You keep Pro until the “Expires on” date. Older Android plans, bought between 2016 and early 2023, may be billed through Stripe instead.
Disable or delete
SCRUFF offers two different steps (SCRUFF):
- Disable removes your profile from your device, but you can bring it back. Go to Account → your profile name → Disable profile. To return, log in and tap Enable profile in the same place.
- Delete makes it inaccessible from any device. Go to Account → your profile name → Delete profile, and follow the prompts.
Permanent deletion
If you’re sure you won’t return and want no way to recover the profile, you can submit a support request for permanent deletion. SCRUFF flags the profile right away so nobody can see it, and the deletion process begins 30 days later. It says this isn’t absolute, as it may keep some information in backups or as the law requires (SCRUFF). You also won’t be able to see your old chats, albums, Woofs or views.
If you can’t get into your profile
Send a SCRUFF Support request with the profile’s email address and name, so they can find the right one. You can also ask for a download of your profile data first.

Support is at support.scruff.com, and you can also send a request from inside the app. SCRUFF says it offers 24/7 support.

Does deleting SCRUFF cancel my subscription?
Deleting your profile or the app does not cancel Pro. Turn off auto-renewal in your app store: at least 24 hours before renewal on iPhone, or 48 hours on Android.
Does uninstalling SCRUFF delete my account?
No. Removing the app from your phone leaves your profile active. You must delete the account in settings.
Can I pause SCRUFF instead of deleting?
