Free versus SCRUFF Pro
You can browse men nearby and message for free on SCRUFF, with ads. SCRUFF Pro is the subscription and adds:
- stealth browsing — view profiles without appearing in their Looks list;
- no ads or alerts interrupting you;
- far more favourites, organised into folders;
- advanced browsing options.
Pro is sold in several lengths through the App Store and Google Play; longer terms cost less per month. Prices vary by country, so check the Pro store in the app.
Is Pro worth it?
- Stay free first — messaging is included.
- Pro makes sense for privacy, for example if you do not want people to see you have viewed them.
- Frequent travellers get the most from the favourites and folders.
Cancelling
Pro purchases are managed by the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android). On iPhone you can go from Account → Manage Subscription in SCRUFF to the App Store and cancel there. SCRUFF advises turning off auto-renewal at least 48 hours before your renewal date to avoid being billed again. Deleting your profile or the app does not cancel Pro.
As with any subscription, check the renewal price as well as the introductory price, and keep a note of which store you bought through — that is the only place you can cancel. If you travel between countries, remember prices can differ by region.
