Step 1: Cancel your subscription
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → SeniorMatch → Cancel.
- Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → SeniorMatch → Cancel.
- Website: SeniorMatch account settings → subscription / billing.
Step 2: Delete your SeniorMatch account
- Cancel Premium first, under Settings → Subscriptions or in your app store.
- Open Settings → My Account and enter your password.
- Click Click here to deactivate or delete your account and follow the steps.
- Don’t log in again for six months, or the account is restored automatically.
Menu names can change after app updates. If you can’t find an option, check SeniorMatch’s help center.
Cancel Premium first
Deleting your SeniorMatch profile won’t stop a subscription you bought through an app store, so cancel first.
- Website: Settings (under your main photo) → Subscriptions, then follow the link to stop renewal and choose Continue Management.
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → SeniorMatch → Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Cancel.
You keep Premium until it ends, and then return to a free Standard account. SeniorMatch doesn’t let you freeze a membership. If you think you’re owed a refund, contact its customer service quickly.
What happens when you delete
Go to Settings → My Account, enter your password and click “Click here to deactivate or delete your account”. Your profile then disappears from the site.
Deleting isn’t instant or final, though. If you log in again within six months, your account is restored automatically, so don’t sign in if you want it gone. After six months your information is permanently deleted, apart from success stories and anything you posted in the community (SeniorMatch FAQ).
Hide your profile instead
If you only need a break, hide your profile under Settings → Privacy. Only Premium members can do this. People can still send a message to a hidden profile, but they can’t view it, wink or like it. On a free account, your options are to stop logging in or to delete.
Before you go
- Save contact details for anyone you’d like to keep in touch with.
- Take any photos you want to keep out of your private album.
- Check that your subscription really has stopped. SeniorMatch notes that removing an account doesn’t end billing through Apple or Google.
SeniorMatch customer service
Use the Contact Us page or the Feedback page on the website. Its home page advertises 24/7 live support. Changing your age requires sending ID through Support.

Frequently asked questions
Does deleting SeniorMatch cancel my subscription?
Plans renew automatically. App-store purchases must be cancelled in the App Store or Google Play, and removing your account doesn’t stop them.
Does uninstalling SeniorMatch delete my account?
No. Removing the app from your phone leaves your profile active. You must delete the account in settings.
