Step 1: Cancel your subscription
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → HER → Cancel.
- Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → HER → Cancel.
- Website: HER account settings → subscription / billing.
Step 2: Delete your HER account
- Cancel Premium first, in the app, the App Store or Google Play.
- On iPhone: My Profile → Settings → Account Details → Privacy Options → Delete my account and data.
- On Android: Settings → Support → Close Account.
- Confirm. Closed accounts can’t be reopened.
Menu names can change after app updates. If you can’t find an option, check HER’s help center.
Cancel HER Premium first
Deleting the app or closing your account doesn’t cancel Premium, so do this first (HER):
- iPhone, in the app: My Profile → Settings → Manage Premium Subscription → Cancel Premium Subscription. You have to leave feedback to reach the cancel prompt.
- iPhone, in the App Store: profile icon → Manage Subscriptions → HER → cancel.
- Android: Play Store → HER → Manage Subscriptions → Cancel or Unsubscribe.
You can’t get a refund for the days left in your current period, and Apple and Google handle any refund request.
How to delete your HER account
You can close your account only from inside the app, and the steps differ:
- iPhone: My Profile → Settings → Account Details → Privacy Options → Delete my account and data → Delete Account.
- Android: Settings (three dots, top right) → Support → Close Account → Close Account.
What others can still see
Closing your account deletes your profile data, and you can’t reopen it, so you’d need a new account to come back. Your profile disappears from Meet, and people you were talking to can’t view it. They’ll still see your message history, though. A post you made in the Community Feed in the last 24 hours also stays visible until it expires.
Take a break instead
HER has no free pause button. It suggests Incognito, a Premium feature that hides your profile from new people. People you’ve already liked can still see you, and you can still chat with matches. HER also says profiles are hidden after a long period of inactivity, so simply staying away has a similar effect, though nothing is deleted.
Can’t log in to delete?
If you signed up with Facebook or Instagram and have since deleted those accounts, HER has a help article on getting back in. For that or anything else, use the email form in HER’s help center.

Frequently asked questions
Does deleting HER cancel my subscription?
Cancel any App Store or Google Play subscription separately. Removing the app or closing your account does not stop billing.
Does uninstalling HER delete my account?
No. Removing the app from your phone leaves your profile active. You must delete the account in settings.
Can I pause HER instead of deleting?
Many dating sites let you hide or pause your profile. Check HER’s settings for a pause or hide option if you might come back.
