This LDS Singles review starts with a change of hands. The site used to be run by Spark Networks. Its help center now says it’s operated by Black Cap Holdings, which also has Christian Mingle, JDate and Zoosk (LDS Singles). A new iPhone app arrived in May 2025. It isn’t owned by or affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

It’s also limited by country. You can use LDS Singles only in the United States, Canada, Australia and US territories. Elsewhere, including on a mission or a trip abroad, your account may be blocked or flagged, and a VPN can trigger the same thing.

How the LDS Singles dating site works

You can use it on a computer or in the app, and you must be 18 or over. LDS Singles suggests people, rather than giving you a search box. You get a few Recommended Picks a day, based on your answers and preferences, and a Discover section for people outside those preferences. If you both Like each other, you’ve got a match and can talk.

What makes it specific to the faith is its preferences. All members can set them for missions served or planned and for church activity, along with age, distance, relationship type, children and family plans (LDS Singles). Preferences guide suggestions but aren’t strict, so you’ll sometimes see people who don’t fit.

Black Cap has also started bringing in members from its other apps. It says all of them identify as part of your community, but you can’t opt out for now. If it matters that someone is an active Latter-day Saint, ask early.

What’s free

Free Basic members can view profiles, send 10 Likes a day, see three Recommended Picks a day and message anyone they’ve matched with. Is LDS Singles legit?

Yes, it’s a real service. Photos are reviewed before they appear, and a selfie check earns you a badge. The new iPhone app has few ratings so far, only 34 in the US App Store, averaging 3.2 out of 5 (checked November 1, 2026), so it tells you little.
