Step 1: Cancel your subscription
- iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Lex → Cancel.
- Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Lex → Cancel.
- Website: Lex account settings → subscription / billing.
Step 2: Delete your Lex account
- Cancel any subscription in your app store first.
- Tap the smiley face (your profile) in the bottom right.
- Open your account settings.
- Choose to delete or temporarily deactivate your account.

Deleting or deactivating Lex
Lex lets you delete your account or deactivate it temporarily.
Step 1: cancel any subscription
If you pay for Lex Plus or Lexplore, cancel it in the App Store or Google Play first — deleting your account does not cancel a store subscription.
Step 2: delete or deactivate
- Tap the smiley face in the bottom right to open your profile.
- Open your account settings.
- Choose Delete account or Deactivate and follow the prompts.
Which should you choose?
Deactivating hides you and keeps your account for later — good if you are seeing someone new or taking a break from dating. Deleting removes your account; you would start again from scratch if you returned.
Before you go
- Save contact details for friends and dates you want to keep.
- Remember that posts you wrote may have been read or screenshotted by others; deleting removes them from Lex but not from other people's devices.
- Report any harassment before leaving so the team can act.
If you are leaving because you met someone on Lex, congratulations — many users simply deactivate and keep their account in case they want to use the community features again for friendship or events.
