Premium and Elite
Swiping, matching and messaging are free on Upward. Two paid tiers add extras:
- Premium — unlimited likes, five Super Likes a week, rewind to undo a pass, a monthly Boost to be one of the top profiles in your area for 30 minutes, and no ads.
- Elite — everything in Premium plus see who liked you, so you can match instantly.
Both are sold in several lengths; longer terms are cheaper per month. One-off Boosts and Super Likes can also be bought separately.
What is worth paying for?
- Stay free first. Messaging is included, which many Christian sites charge for.
- Elite is the tier that saves time, because seeing who liked you turns guessing into matches.
- Premium is mostly about volume — useful in busy cities, less so in small towns.
- Skip Boosts until your profile and photos are strong.
Cancelling
Subscriptions are billed through the App Store or Google Play and renew automatically. Cancel there: on iPhone, Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Upward → Cancel; on Android, Google Play → Subscriptions → Upward → Cancel subscription. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
Prices vary by country, age and platform, and introductory discounts usually apply only to the first term, so check the renewal price before you confirm.
